Campus Director Q&A

www.slackdiscussiongroup.com

Our goal is to create a space where campus directors can learn from one another, ask thoughtful questions, and share encouragement as we serve college women across the country. Every campus is different—these conversations are meant to be a guide, not a formula. Let’s grow together!

Be Kind and Encouraging

  • Lead with grace. Assume the best in each other and respond with kindness, even when perspectives differ.

  • Celebrate wins. Big or small—cheer one another on in the work God is doing on your campus.

  • Speak life. Use your words to build up, not tear down (Ephesians 4:29).

Contribute with Purpose

  • Share openly, but briefly. Allow room for others to join the conversation.

  • Ask thoughtful questions. Questions help spark growth and learning—no question is too small.

  • Avoid one-size-fits-all answers. Instead, share what’s worked for you and be open to what might work for others.

Respect Every Context

  • Every campus is unique. Ministry looks different in different places—and that’s okay.

  • Don't compare—connect. Use this time to learn from each other, not to measure success.

  • Be mindful of diverse student experiences across geographic, cultural, and spiritual contexts.

Embrace Collaboration

  • We are better together. Collective wisdom strengthens each of us and the ministry as a whole.

  • Share resources, ideas, and encouragement freely—it may be exactly what someone else needs.

  • Be willing to both give and receive support. Collaboration builds unity and momentum.

Stay Curious and Humble

  • Listen to understand, not just to reply.

  • Stay teachable. No matter how long you've led, there's always more to learn.

  • Remember the mission. We're united by a common mission to teach women their value, worth, and identity!

Keep It Grounded

  • Let God lead. Let Scripture and prayer guide your conversations and decisions.

  • Encourage spiritual depth. Share what God is doing in you and through your ministry.

  • Pray for one another. End your time covering each other and your campuses in prayer.

First, you're not alone. Every chapter — no matter how strong — has seasons of growth and seasons of pruning.

Go Deep with the Few
If only a few students are coming, lean into those relationships.

Ask for Honest Feedback
Check in with your core students: What do they love? What feels hard to attend? What would help them invite a friend?

Try Something New
Switch up your approach: Host a casual hangout night (coffee, game night, etc.) Try a mini devotion and discussion over lunch. Let students help plan an event

Pray and Press On
Numbers don’t tell the whole story. Ask God to give you eyes to see the purpose in the “small.” Sometimes He’s refining, not reducing
